Jeff Ward, an exceptional talent in action sports!
Jeff Ward has consistently managed to be one of the best in his sport for 50 years as a professional athlete and a role model for several generations.
For his life's work we dedicate him a . . .
We designed the 612 ERGOWAVE® active 2.1 together with his long-term sponsor and friend Troy Lee.
"Thank you so much SQlab. I'm pumped about how cool the saddle looks but more importantly how amazing the saddle feels." - Jeff Ward
The 612 ERGOWAVE® active 2.1 is the sporty road bike and mountain bike race saddle. It provides the perfect support to the rear and an optimal pressure distribution to the deep structures of the body through its wave-like shape and the raised rear, which significantly improves the power transmission to the pedal.
Individual
Our saddles fit exactly to the individual sit bone distance due to their individual width.
So the saddle fits like a good pair of shoes.
Available widths: 12 / 13 / 14 / 15 / 16 cm
Weight
Many knowledge gained from the development of the 612 ERGOWAVE® R has been incorporated into the shell design, making it significantly lighter.
Relief
A slightly higher, middle ERGOWAVE® step and a slightly lower dip lead to an additional improvement in relief in the perineal area.
Comfort
Quite a few small improvements in the form add up to another noticeably better comfort.
More freedom
The deeper saddle nose, in combination with the dip in the middle, creates more space and freedom for the perineal area for both women and men. At the same time, the slimmer shape creates more legroom.

With a deep passion for innovation, technology, safety and performance SQlab has much in common with the mindset of designer Troy Lee and motocross legend Jeff Ward.
The 612 ERGOWAVE active 2.1 in a special joint design is the optimal saddle for MTB Race or Road. Jeff Ward is a British-American, former professional motocross racer, car racer and off-road racer. He won the AMA Motocross Championship five times, the AMA Supercross Championship twice and the Motocross of Nations seven times. In his sport, he was and is an icon. Meanwhile he is also an avid cyclist, and profits from his experience in professional powersports a lot, when riding.
The ltd. saddle provides an optimal pressure distribution to the deep structures of the body through its wave-like shape and the raised tail for the perfect support to the rear, which significantly improves the power transmission to the pedal. The lowered nose, in combination with the dip in the middle, creates more space for the perineal area for both women and men. Equipped with the active technology Sport 2.1, the saddle is a relief for the back, especially on long distances. Through the SQlab active saddle technology, the saddle follows the pedaling movement, the comfort increases, the intervertebral discs are mobilized and the pressure on the sit bones is minimized.
