The saddle design of the 6OX ERGOWAVE® active 2.1 Mountainbike and E-MTB saddle, inspired by the contour lines in the mountains, is the result of a collaboration with ION. Individual fit and optimally coordinated ergonomics make the 6OX the perfect partner, up and down the trail.
Two pioneering brands of the Boards and More Group, one common guiding principle: the joy of cycling. The SQlab X ION products represent the perfect ergonomics of SQlab and the stylish performance of ION. The designs, inspired by water sports, give the products a casual touch. The design of the 6OX and 7OX products from ION in particular picks up on the contour lines in the mountains and pays impressive homage to mountain biking - true to the ION motto "Surfing Trails".
Optimum fit:
To accommodate every individual sit bone distance, the 6OX ERGOWAVE® active 2.1 ltd. ION is available in four different saddle widths. The right saddle width guarantees that the sit bones are in full contact with the saddle and that the pressure can be distributed according to ergonomic principles. The sit bone distance can be determined at a SQlab specialist dealer or at home with our measuring set.
Ergonomics perfectly implemented:
Especially when riding an E-MTB, you are often confronted with steeper uphills, and rear support in the cradle is particularly important here. Sliding back and forth unnecessarily is tiring and wastes energy, which is lost to propulsion. The SQlab stepped saddle shape provides a defined riding position and optimizes power transfer to the pedals.
Spine - friendly:
The active technology allows the saddle to move sideways while pedaling. This mimics the natural pelvic movement that takes place while walking. This has the advantage that the intervertebral discs are not continuously compressed and exposed to one-sided pressure peaks. Due to the dynamic sitting position, the intervertebral discs are continuously supplied with nutrients and back pain can be prevented.

To complete the bike, we have also worked with ION to create a special limited edition of the 7OX 2.0 Pro grips.
Prevent arm pump and save energy
Our internal tests have proven that the new 7OX 2.0 Pro grip can prevent pressure peaks and positively influence arm muscle fatigue.

ION 7OX Pro grips, not only combines stylish looks, but also sets new standards in terms of performance and comfort.
Perfect fit: With a choice of five different widths, this saddle allows individual adjustment to anatomical requirements. The SQlab sit bone measurement can be used to precisely determine the optimum saddle width to ensure pressure relief according to medical criteria.
Maximized comfort and relief: The ergonomic shape and the wave-shaped elevation of the ERGOWAVE® reduce pressure in the perineal area and provide additional support uphill. The flat, slightly curved saddle nose ensures less pressure on sensitive areas for men and women. The saddle nose is wide, especially for longer climbs in the terrain, to ensure optimum pressure relief and at the same time provide a soft buffer in the event of a crash.
Back-friendly active technology: The SQlab active saddle technology follows the pedalling motion, increases comfort, mobilizes the spinal discs and minimizes pressure on the sit bones.
